It’s Okay to Be a Skeptic

ree

When it comes to spiritual mediumship, skepticism is natural. In fact, it’s healthy. Many people feel curious about connecting with loved ones in spirit, but also wonder: “Is this real?” or “How do I know if I can trust what I hear?”

These questions are not only understandable, they’re important.

Why Skepticism is Healthy

Mediumship is a deeply personal and emotional experience. You’re opening your heart in hopes of hearing from someone you love who has passed on. Wanting assurance and proof is a natural part of that process.

A responsible medium will never discourage you from questioning—they will welcome your curiosity and your discernment.

What Mediumship Should Provide

Mediumship is not about vague statements or guesses. It’s about evidence and validation - specific details such as names, dates, memories, personality traits, or habits that confirm the presence of your loved one. When this kind of information comes through, it often shifts skepticism into openness, because it resonates on a level that feels undeniably personal.

Trust Your Own Experience

It’s important to know that you don’t have to walk into a session with blind belief. In fact, come as you are—even if that means skeptical. Notice how you feel during and after the session. Do the messages bring comfort? Do the details connect with you in ways that are meaningful? Your own experience is the best guide.

Final Thoughts

Being skeptical doesn’t mean you’re closed off—it means you’re thoughtful and careful about what you allow into your heart.

A genuine connection through mediumship can move you from doubt to comfort, from questioning to healing.

If you feel curious but cautious, that’s perfectly okay. Spirit will always meet you where you are.

Honouring Your Loved Ones in Spirit,

Stephanie
